I had a long elaborate response typed up full of examples but my wife distracted me and I'm not sure it made sense. But yeah. We're all hypocrites and, at some point, we all want to be the underdog and victim.

If that's the case, no one should be complaining. Ever. Like BMaker, I too remember what kind of activity went on last gen, only to watch a complete about-face from many, many people. Yes, it's the nature of being human and the "Sports Fan" mentality - but then as I stated, no one should be complaining, since you acknowledge that you are part of the problem.

On the modding side of things, hopefully people will chill out.

I know. And I openly admit it (even though my mod history says otherwise!) 😏. The bigger problem, in my opinion, are those who won't admit it to themselves.
