Americans pronounce the letter 'a' as 'ay'...........right? You say "a-llow" and not "ay-llow"............or am I wrong there?

 actually pronounce it both ways... ay and ah mattering the word. So in zebra we pronounce the a as an ah. allow would be with the ah sound to from what I can tell... lol
