Keep in mind... in my 4 years here, I have never changed avatar, not once.

Also I'm 100% in favour of a "no clear winner/loser" meaning that the bet is off, in terms of If there is nothing outstandingly bad happening in terms of war breaking out, we'll go for famous people dying comparison, followed by just chucking out bet.
Or can do a poll for which year was worse, although people are often more inclined to think what they are experiencing right now is terrible (and not just because right now is 2016 and it is terrible haha)
