Unfortunately, sex and relationships are a competitive field, and in any competition there are losers. That's just life.

Well, hopefully most people can find enjoyment outside of sexual relationships. Platonic friendships are still very valuable, whether with the opposite sex or not.

It's not the only source of pleasure, but most human beings do feel a need for sex and intimacy.
