I wonder what was the reception of the news of FFXV and Last Guardian moving to PS4. Final Fantasy has the pedigree of that of Zelda despite the reception XIII and it's sequels got. The Last Guardian is a new IP and Final Fantasy is a third party series with several games on PS3. So no, I don't think it's comparable to the Zelda delays.

Apparently there were a lot of people excited to play The Last Guardian on PS3 then ultimately have to wait years until it was a PS4 exclusive. With Ico and SoTC, fans were eager to know more and get their hands on it just like BoTW. And although Zelda doesn't have new main series game on Wii U, it's not like Zelda fans were left off to dry. Hyrule Warriors and HD remakes/remastered of WW and TP were released. Then you got OoT and MM 3D, Triforce Heroes, and ALBW on 3DS. Some would complain they added too much from the series before releasing BoTW. 

Not necessarily saying you're wrong but it's an interesting comparison in general. As I stated in the previous comment, I wonder about the reception about those games changing consoles after years of supposedly being planned for the last gen consoles.
