Wrong. It was quite clearly announced that NVIDIA itself was providing the software stack/APIs for Nintendo's Switch OS.
The idea that there is significant difference there, or that Shield is less amenable to optimization is absurd.
Fact is, Switch is downclocked from Shield 1's processor EVEN IN DOCKED MODE, meanwhile NVIDIA releases next gen to Shield.
