As for the idea that Shield and Switch are competing against each other. No, not at all
For one the shield is Android based
-say hello to poorly optimized games,
-It's a multimedia device
-first party support is non-existent
-third party support is laughable
The other point is that it is designed to work in synergy with your PC
-it's a streaming device to play your PC on your TV
All these are not describing the Switch at all.
