I said a few years ago that Crytek was expanding way too fast. They've never had the kind of product output that could sustain that. It was like they wanted to be the next EA and they were willing to take big risks to get there instead of building up their portfolio over time.
Terrible mismanagement there, especially with constantly jumping on the next big thing instead of making great games.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to say, once again, that Crysis 3 was one of the worst big budget games I've ever played.
