Well if their portable line dies/declines massively, then Nintendo was as a hardware maker was screwed either way. 

As long as the Switch is profitable, Nintendo will continue doing their thing.

Spec's stopping concerning me around the time of the gamecube. Before that the N64 was all about the specs. I trust the craftsmen to do their job well. The exciting part is getting it into my hands where I can see for myself the kinds of experiences they cooked up.

I'm definitely looking forward to the new stuff that could be coming the Switch's way as well as the GameCube games I never got around to playing back in the day.
