Better for them to support it than go with the DX deathknell 
We could also see more pushing into more using Vulkan in the long run, hopefully making it the main API to go for than the other that seemingly hampers PC and is restricted to just one console.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
