Nintendo Switch and VR makes no sense. Even the highest end screens are not good enough. Doubt that the Switch will have a high end screen.

For a true shot at the mass market we need smaller lighter headsets with dual 4k OLED Screens and 130 FOV. Anything that the Switch could deliver would be more on the Level of the DK1 which was an experimental Device not fit for most people to use.

uhm did you ever used current VR devices=?

The PSVR as an example looks pixel whise similar to the 480p screen on the Wii U Gamepad or to the iPhones before they got their retina display.

Sure there is still much room for improvements and 4k would be nice (to have retina like optics in VR) but its far from "makes no sense or not good enough". Its totally useable and just a few years ago we just used devices that looked exactly the same in our daily lifes and not many really bothered

If the switch uses a 1080p rgb screen I dont see any problems. 720p might be little to low thoug, I would agree here. But we definitly dont "need" 4k screens. its nice to have though.

Yes I used them I bought an Oculus Rift CV1 as soon as it released and used the DK1 and 2 when they launched. The CV1 has of all the three consumer Vr headets which I used extensively the best resolution yet its still far from good. We absolutely NEED dual 4ks for VR to get somewhere.
