Abolishing could be hard, but I agree that education should be much more attainable for a much larger portion of the population. Taking away the possibility of loans will just further the existing issues, if it keeps going like this, seggregation will continue and we'll effectively have a caste system, where families without financial means are destined to have children and grandchildren without opportunities to climb into a "higher" echelon of society.
