Its also awareness of the product that affected the Wii U. Some have said that the people they've asked don't know what a Wii U was or what it does still. The Wii U ultimately failed due to a variety of reasons which includes lack of marketing. $60 might have helped sell more, but what good would it do if its gonna bleed money? You're selling at a huge loss. Its old tech, but not $0.02 cheap tech to be sold at such a price.
