No, atheism is not a religion. How is not believing in something until it's proven in any way the same as just believing what a book says despite its many inconsistencies?

Well when you say"i don't believe in god"you believe that god doesn't exist until it's proven he does.

And Atheism has grown a lot for the last 20 years so i would categorize it as a religion or Cult but i wouldn't say cult atheism is much more spread throught the world.
