I'm talking in an official capacity though, as in coming right out of the box with the ability to function as a console. As long as its a third party accessorie and all that it won't change, but if tomorrow Apple or Samsung introduced a game tablet with snap on controllers and a TV dock or chromecast type device all included in one package ... that would then start changing people's perceptions of what a tablet can be.
And I think knock-offs are probably inevitable if Switch has some level of success. Switch could even allow for easier ports, because third party Switch games would likely be easy to port over to other tablets since they all basically use like ARM CPUs.
