Back in the days we were playing Goldeneye in 4-player split-screen on a 14" CRT and it was a friggin' blast, one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I have in mind. Now we have bloody huge 60" TVs everywhere and splitscreen gaming is pretty much dead. Why? Sure, on a 6" tablet it's a little over the top, but why are there so few splitscreen games these days? I don't get it. And I like it that Nintendo goes more into that direction. |
PCs are worse.
They're supposed to be all powerful and can comfortably support upto 9 monitors but getting a 4 or even 2 player 'splitscreen/multi-monitor' game going is impossible without devs taking the time to implement it. Support for 2 mice? Ha.
As for playing more than one game at the same time. Good Luck.
