Valve does what Son't doesn't: provides official support for Sony's controller. It's actually somewhat baffling that Sony doesn't provide better support for DS4 on PC, because each DS4 sold should be pure profit for Sony, and in a lot of PC use cases, the user either owns a PS4 already or is only looking into getting a controller for PC, in which case it would be Sony's benefit for that choice to be DS4.
