All jokes aside, 50 year olds were 10 when the Atari 2600 came out - Shiggy was already at Nintendo.

Every little bit is progress. Getting a few people who grew up with the NES and SNES some bargaining chips within the company should help bring them back in the direction of much of their lost fanbase (who also happen to be about the same age). According to the demographics, the average gamer is in their thirties - forget what the kids/teenagers want.
