So were you leading a coalition of like minded people to ban flag burning for years before Trump brought it up? Because I'm betting that it barely even crossed your mind until Trump told people to think about it.

Oh, you assume flag burning is a huge concern of mine? I believe people should be allowed to do it, but I always felt people that do it are... deplorable.

Bottomline, a lot of this country is really offended by flag burning and things like kneeling during the national anthem. That behavior pushes people to the more nationalistic candidates. Hence, extreme behavior on one side makes some on the other.

Yup. Really offended. See that nationalism is armchair nationalism. People will always say 'oh I'm so offended!' over a flag burning even though that is how you traditionally retire flags.

I wouldn't be shocked in the least if most people who read Trumps twitter don't know that this is how flags are retired.  Its yet another 'Oh look over here!' move that Trump is famous for.

*edit* Tim Tebow kneeled for the National Anthem yet somehow Kaepernick is the bad guy. Ridiculous. If he was praying to Jesus Christ while kneeling then people would be loving him for it.
