While I'm more than happy that new blood are taking the reigns of the console and software divisions, I don't want to undermine what Miyamoto and his long time partners are doing nowadays. Sure not everything was a hit (and why is someone pointing out Nintendo Land as something of mediocrity when it was well received?) but he did help provide feedback to the young devs of Splatoon, encouraged multiplayer for Luigi's Mansion 2, and has been a mentor for the devs and is willing to give them the reigns. As I've said before, he's still has a lot to give and now he's more focused on smaller game projects and projects outside of video games such as mobile and the theme parks.
