This is more than likely a very good thing. The aging leadership of a Japan dominated company need to change.
I work in a high-tech company that strives on bottom-up ideas that can then be driven to something amazing by the more experienced leadership. It works wonders and we're an amazing company due to this culture.
Nintendo needs this badly. The company is very much Japan culture of top-down driven entirely by Japan. It needs to reverse this mentality and gather the best ideas from the bottom-up. Let the top focus on diving deep into those ideas with their experienced questions and together go forward with amazing implementations.
Hopefully that is the NS. I know I'm excited for it and unlike the WiiU, I've had many conversations with others who share this excitement.
