First of all, Sony increased the price of PS plus due to the increasing quality of PSN, and the fact Xbox live is more $ and is arguably worse in quality than PSN is today.....
Secondly, how in the world are Sony arrogant this gen? When they have launched and announced the biggest games ever for a PS console this entire gen..... And they have barely talked about figures when they could easily bring up record sales every other month, they continue to just talk about games.
There was nothing wrong with the ps2 era when Sony was dominant..... The ps3 era was huge and it was inspired by competition from Microsoft yes, but current Sony doesn't seem too bothered by competition, they seem to be more motivated in expanding their platform vs competing against Xbox
