This is good and bad.

In the early years this will help establish VR, but as was mentioned above, it could turn into a nightmare later.

Right now I think this will help market VR and make sure it stays at the forefront of tech shows, and stay dives development teams to experiment with the tech.

On the bad side, we don't want industry standards to get out of contoll. We need things lke 90 - 120fps standard to make sure VR doesn't turn people off with negative first for mpressions. On the other hand we don't need a standardization of devices and controllers. PSVR needs to be unique from Vive, which needs to be unique from the Rift. At this stage we need to look at it from as many angles as possible.

Then worst case scenario we end up with the TV and Blu-ray situation, where stupid decisions are being made. Stupid decisions which are a huge part of why PS4 Pro does not support the new Blu-ray format. Sony does not support the UHD name, and they don't support Dolby Vision, both of which are terrible for the industry. If things get out of hand with this new organisation, I just hope Sony sticks to their guns, and goes on their own if it means doing the right thing. I am confident with their track record that they will continue to do whats best for the industry.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
