To be fair they may have been comparing it to the Sunday after Black Friday last year.  I believe they said "day" not "date" in their tweet.  Ambiguity though, the order of the MS day.

They were pretty specific on the date. "In fact, the total players online on Sunday, Nov. 27 was up 40 percent compared to last year"
