So the thread title itself is what's misleading. Yoshida never said that either of the two pieces of hardware had exceeded sales expectations. It can't even be argued that it was implied.

He does say "I think that's driving a larger demand than we had anticipated" which imo basically means "demand exceeded our expectations".
