Did you really expect a Digimon game to sell well on the 3DS when a mainline Pokémon game just released?

It's been 3 weeks since Pokemon released.  And there's a world of difference between "sell well" and "sell 7k first week" for a Digimon game.

Pokémon games don't stop selling after 3 weeks. Digimon will always struggle more on a Nintendo console compared to a Sony console.

The Japanese 3DS owners have no shortage when it comes to games where you capture and battle with creatures this year: Yokai Watch 3, Monster Hunter Stories and Pokémon Sun and Moon. There's simply no room for a spin-off Digimon game this year.
