Actually totally make sense to have one standard resolution for all games, for Wii U standard resolution was 720p and only only 3 Nintendo games are 1080p from which 2 are remasters, while for Switch most likely standard resolution will be 1080p.

That's not how it works... at all. Those games were 720p on WiiU because that's what the developers could get it to. There was no mandate from Nintendo "Make it 720p". It doesn't make any sense to have a "standard resolution". The developers will make their game and make it run at as high a resolution as it can run without performance issues.

As always resolution will be a case by case basis for each game. Nintendo will not make their developers have to adhere to a certain resolution.
