Considering the amount of used games I bought incredibly cheap because some stores don't keep the cases, I don't think this is a very isolated practise. Hell, I bought Final Fantasy III for the DS for 2€ because they had lost its box someone had taken the sticker out and they didn't know what game was. Destroying the actual games, however, is a very worrying thing.
