Offcourse that userbase is one most important aspect if you comparing sales of games, and fact is that on 45m userbase Knack sold only 1.7m. In other thread I defended comparing sales of two games where one game has user base on 40m and other game has user base of 20m. In this case SM3DW is on platform that has 4x less user base than Knack and still sold 2.5x better than Knack, we talking around 30% attach rate for SM3DW and less than 5% atach rate for Knack. And rely what's point of this thread, you trying to compare one of biggest, one of most popular and one of best Nintendo IP (3D Mario) and sequel to very niche game that nobody relly (expect few people) wanted or expected!? And whats with this "Let's never forget that Knack was outperforming Mario on UK"!? Lol |
Well, you won't ever budge that attach ratio are very very very far from being constant when userbase increases so I won't even bother.
Read the thread and posts of everyone that understood the point and you'll also notice.
Knack was outselling Marion 3D world in UK for some time, just that.
