What do you mean lost faith in democrats? Almost all of Obamas presidency was jam packed with republicans voting against his legislation and being proud of it. Since I don't like left wing policies in many cases, I'm glad republicans were there to stop him.

I believe things could have been worse.

I don't think he did a bad job. He steered the country through the great recession. Unemployment is down and the economy is up. Millions of americans are now insured and he managed this with a congress and senate who tried to stop him at every turn. Their sole mission was to make him a one term president and instead he got 2 terms and did a fine job of it. I think the country would be in far better shape if they would have worked with him in the first place instead of being the party of no.
