Simple. Read what you posted again.

"Love how its fans are insisting that anyone who hates it hates it because they don't like the genre, or they don't like family games, or they're just biased for some reason or another, and can't appreciate the wonder that is Knack.

It's just not a good game. For any gamer over 8 years old, it's far too simplistic, and for most people under that age, it's too complicated"

You're not expressing your opinion. You're not just saying that you, personally, didn't like it. You contrast what others say with your version of reality. You even claim that (bolded) it's too simplistic for anyone over 8. All of us here who mentioned that we like it are older than 8. Who are you to tell us what we think of it? I don't think it's too simplistic. On the contrary, I think it's great as it is. Again, speak for yourself. Not for those over 8, or those under 8.

Also, where did I or the rest of its fans claim that "anyone who hates it hates it because they don't like the genre, or they don't like family games, or they're just biased for some reason or another, and can't appreciate the wonder that is Knack"? I didn't. People can dislike any game for any reason they want. No game can or will be liked by everyone.

You're surely familiar with figurative language.  Right?  Like, if I said "Europeans love soccer", you wouldn't get in a huff and say "how dare you speak for the entirety of Europe!  Some of them actually don't like soccer!"

Did you actually think when I said "any gamer over 8" that I was literally speaking about every gamer over the age of 8?  If so, then you really need to bone up on how colloquial English language works.  I have serious trouble believing that you're so blissfully unaware of how generalizations are used in common speech.

But, I really don't think your comprehension is that poor, because you seemed perfectly able to distinguish between literal and figurative language, and fact and opinion when it came to all of those people that agreed with you.  Case in point...

I take it you're familiar with the expression "generalizations are bad and you should feel bad". Right?

Also, that they are against the rules of these forums for a reason. You claimed that you were simply expressing your opinion. You weren't. For some reason you just had to talk about how others felt about the game.
