For PS you have 9 games (I discounted LBP due to PS3) with an average of 2.01 per game from 9 franchises. Diversity is a bit better than relying on the same few franchises over and over. PS has always been more diverse but that's because their fans prefer a more diverse amount of exclusives while Xbox prefer fps, tps, racers, horror games. I agree that it's better that PS has more diversity but there's no point for MS to branch out to genres that won't sell well.
