Nintendo is looking interesting again for the first time in almost a decade..

Splatoon is not their first new IP in a long time they have released 80 new IPs since 2001. They had a shit load of them on DS and Wii,not all made it out of Japan but they still count as NEW IPs. Also Xenoblade because it is first party. In fact the entire OR trilogy were new NIntendo owned IPs. Nintendo is constantly releaing new IPs but people choose to ignore it for whatever reason.

 

Well, I don't claim to be a Nintendo expert knowing all about new IP's in Japan. Splatoon is the newest IP they have that I actually knew about.
