No, Forza 5 is still using superior assets that couldn't be repliectated on the PS3 or 360. For example the texture quality, car models, track detail, etc. While The Last of Us and God of War 3 are basically straight ports of what is mostly PS3 assets.

GT6 had more features such as the weather, lighting, etc. But it came at the cost of graphics and performance. I recall GT6 also had screen tear and ran a bit worse than GT5. Lastly, we already know Forza 5 was a rushed product, Forza 6 is a better example of what X1 and Turn 10 is capable of. More time was spent creating GT6 than Forza 5 and 6 combined.

The Last of Us and God of War 3 do have very impressive detail for PS3 games. Characters in Uncharted 2 have 80k polygons and The Last of Us probably has more. The environments are also very detailed. God of War 3 has an incredible scale especially the titans. It also has dynamic lighting when using the head of helios. Forza 5 has very detailed cars and roads but the environments aren't very detailed with crowds being sprites and the game only has one weather condition and very less use of particle effects.

We were talking about Forza 5 here not what the XB1 and Turn 10 are capable of doing. Forza 6 doesn't have the same problems and looks amazing even on XB1. The best comparison can be made between Forza 6 and GT Sport in terms of graphics when that releases.

Yeah, TLoU, GoW3 and other titles like Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Gears of War 3/Judgement, look fantastic for 7th gen and still look solid today.

That doesn't change the fact Forza 5 surpasses the capabilities of 7th gen hardware. The assets in Forza 5 are simply more detailed than 7th gen hardware can handle. Its better looking game than you're giving it credit for. Same goes for a game like Ryse, not the most technically impressive game but the visual assets were far ahead of what 7th gen consoles could do.
