Nintendo as a company has its own unique way of marketing its products. And those marketing techniques are totally unfathomable to the average person. Why would any company showcase their latest game on a dead system. We all have seen what the Switch looks like. What would it hurt to show the new Zelda running on it. Baffling indeed.

It's not even a live presentation or something, it was a pre recorded video of Aonuma, and Bill Trinen playing the game. They had a 100% control on what people could have seen of the Switch.

The only reason I can think of, is that Zelda switch is exactly the same as the WiiU version, or at least not different enough to be able to differentiate them in a youtube video. So they didn't show the switch version, in fear of people thinking that the Switch is not more powerful than a WiiU (which is almost true)

 

 

Well, the Switch is a portable gaming tablet. Showing the new Zelda running on it would show its as or more powerful then their last home console.
