What I find jarring was that either a lot of people were holding off to buy the PS4 Slim on BF or Gears really did drive a lot of the initial support for the XBOS...

Either that or people realized the PS4 Pro sucked and their expectations changed drastically, since it seems it might not have been as popular as the Slim... Now I realize these patterns make no sense. I'd expect the Pro the be the main source of sales, rather than the out since Summer Slim...

It does confirm something though... Microsoft fans no longer like stores, so my call was right...

I dont know why you would think the pro would evee be the main drive for sales. It just makes no sense.

This is the holiday season. Gift buying season. People go where the deals are. And did you see deals on thr PS4? And the pro is an enthusiast console. It's not intended to push the kinda numbers a cheaper slim would push.

And I dont understand what you mean by MS fans no longer like stores. Could it just mean that online retailers had better deals for an XB1? Or MS losing the physical fight just means that they lost because MS fans rather buy their stuff online?

Well, since X1 needs to keep selling more then if retail dropped digital must have rose more than retail dropped... because of reasons.

Soon when NPD shows X1 isn't outpacing X360 as much as before they will claim there are digital consoles.

Well not quite that low.

5% Sold in store were Pro's

11% sold online were Pro's

So going with the 1 million figure anywhere between 55k - 75k sounds reasonable, it does seem quite low, but afaik there wasn't really any Black Friday deals for Pro, so the Slim destroying it on that day seems quite expected.

$212 for Slim Uncharted 4 Bundle was always going to be the heavy hitter on BF!

ah yeah you're right. Still low, but not as disastrous as I previously thought.

We have to wait for Cybermonday numbers to see if Pro was that bad selling (there were 340 deals on target and Amazon)
