90% believe the difference between 900p and 1080p is akin to "worlds apart"? That's... an incredibly silly thing to say. So almost every Nintendo (VGCs largest fanbase), Sony, and MS fan on VGC don't only value image quality, but are image quality enthusiasts to the point that they actively express that the difference between 900p and 1080p is akin to "worlds different"?

Regardless, your reason for making the comparison doesn't change how flawed it is. Not only because DVD having its own clear advantages makes statements like "the average human doesn't actually care" somewhat aimless, but also because you're not dealing with 2 fully overlapping groups.

Pretty much all of the bolded. Iv never heard how good 1080p was compared to 900p until i joined this site. Apparently so many even said 900p is last generation. You would have seen the posts boosting it. 1080p to many in the real world does not matter, on this site however is means everything.

As for myself, i notice the differences quite easily however does it affect my purchase? does it affect my enjoyment? No.

As for your 2nd parfagraph, im not sure where yoiur going with this, i am honestly clueless. You have clearly misunderstood what im saying.

So you stand by your claim that 90% of VGC users believe the difference is "worlds different"? Nintendo fans and all?

And no, i think it might be you misunderstand. You said your reason for making the comparison is because, to quote you exactly and in full "As for my comparison i am referring to 90% of thie site who made out that 900p and 1080p were worlds different yet compare that to the avaerge human who doesnt actually care and are still happy buying DvD quality movies.".

I was pointing out that DVD having an objective advantage over Blu-ray (average cost) makes your claim that DVD's popularity is proof that 'the average human doesnt actually care' is aimless. Without controlling for that objective variable (so proving people don't care at all, rather than simply valuing cost over quality), you're just making an assumption and asserting it as fact. By extension, the absence of that same variable with the PS4 and X1 makes the comparison silly.
