Using sold to retailer company data.

At the end of 2007 total PS3 sales were 10.49 million.
At the end of 2007 total 360 sales were 17.7 million.

For Q1 the PS3 shipped 1 million units more than the 360 (a little over 2.3m PS3s, which is almost on par with FY2006 and FY2007 PS2 sales for this period of the year, Microsoft sold 1.3 million 360s for the period this year)

Assuming the 360 sells as many units in 2008 as in 2007, that would mean 7.3 million sales and 25 million units sold to retail by the end of 2008 in total.

That would mean the PS3 would have to sell 14.5 million units this year, then the PS3 would have to sell a little less than the PS2 sold in FY2006 and a little more than the PS2 sold in FY2007.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."
