Are guns in video games holding the medium back?

I'm not interested in most Nintendo games and I wouldn't buy a $400 console just to play two games that I'm interested on it and especially as that console has stopped production so no future support. The games would also cost me another $80 each. Too expensive.

Besides why are there not more games on PS4, XB1 and PC that don't have shooting? That is where the industry is going.

There are many indie games that dont have guns. You complain about too many games have guns, yet you dont want to buy games without guns in it. The WiiU is full of them and you only want two games of the entire library? Maybe gamers like you are part of the problem?
