Tennant is an awesome actor, but I didn't care for his portrayal as the Doctor during normal 1 hour episodes. Most any two parters and Doctor Who TV movies with Tennant was quite enjoyable because it gives the Doctor proper time to develop as the story unfolds. Other than that, the story arc for a 1 hour episode was too short for any natural development. It happened so quickly in such a short amount of time that I couldn't take is seriously. In my opinion.
