This is basically a battle between the two Danganrompas PC ports vs Doom 2016, with Pokemon Sun/Moon and Stella Glow following close enough. Danganrompa's ports are basically equally good, although I had a big glitch with th second game, so the first one wins that. Danganrompa 2 and Doom 2016 are the best games of the year, but Danganrompa 2 just edges it out to get the best game of the year win.
Valkyria Chronicles would have been a really serious contender, if I hadn't become stuck on the 7th level. Fuck that giant tank and lazer spear lady. Also, I haven't played FE Fates, so there's that.
