What happened to the Def Jam franchise?

A Def Jam game woukd mostly work if they brought back the golden age of Rnb and Hip Hop with the cast and music with some new guys.

I agree and if they wanted to do something different....heck stick with the original controls add in a little more depth...maybe make like a specific track play for when each artist does their finishers or special moves. Like if they had Kanye West go to the "No one man can have all this power" line as he executes his move or something....it could be cool. But EA is so far gone now I don't know if they could pull it off.
