T'wer the prices equal, then it would fall upon the ease of use as the primary reason to go towards consoles.

The fact that consoles are basically plug-and-play (a bit less now, but still) is a big advantage too. You buy you console, plug it, buy the games with the name of your console on it, and you're good to go without a doubt on your config or any other effort. It's easier and overall more consumer-friendly.

I did not deny this fact, I am merely presuming that the biggest factor is price and not ease of use. :)
