if it doesn't play RDR2, or GTA, or AC, or BF, or CoD, FF, or RE, or ME, or ect. then it isn't a home console... it's a portable with tv out. so far NS's first year line up is so far make mostly of wiiU ports,.. that's not a killer line-up. there are reasons that almost the entire gamer market passed on the wiiU and a lack of a compelling line-up of games is one of them. |
So the Wii, Wii U wasnt a home console?Or the gamecube too by the way, since it also missed some big third party titles. That line of thinking is just beyond flawed. Not to mention the fact that it may, and I stress the word may, get some of those titles. For all we know, Nintendo NDA is what is holding most developers from talking about if they are bringing their titles to the Switch. And with Betesda on board, Take 2 talking good things about the Switch, Skyrim comming, we WILL see some of them on the Switch. At the very least on the first year.
As for the ports, they are being ported to the Switch due to the exact reason you just listed:The people who missed the Wii U.For them, this first year is looking absolutely phenomenal.Nintendo is more worried, first and foremost, in bringing the 3DS owners AND non-Nintendo gamers to the Switch.Wii U owners will have things to play(Mario, Zelda, hopefully Pikmin 4, and others games that werent announced), but the focus arent on them.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
