All they have to do is make the objectives hard. Perhaps you'll have to fully upgrade your ship before you can do it for instance.

 

It could work in that kind of way. you have to buy the base and then you can build around it. if your ship gets too big them you may have to buy additional jets / engines etc.

 

They have to keep use for the currency or it becomes worthless, especially now that you can mine and farm things. 

 

I'm still not going to go back into this until they add co-op support. imagine if we can play as a vgc club, with our own farms, mining operation and building a big frack off spaceship.
