Combined with having already made a thread about how he DOESN'T like his his ps4 pro and wanting to trade it in for a slim.

Yeah you can see my confusion.  Specially the "why would I want my phone to have the internet".

I'm just going to add him to my "never talk to him again" list and move on.

I never said I didn't like the Pro.

I said I was disapointed with it's performance at 2X the cost of the Slim.

I was able to return the one I had and got a new one for $322 at Target yesterday which is a much better price and more in line with what I think it should cost.

I appreciate you puting me on your list, I hate having to explain myself multiple times to people that are just looking to start an argument.

Take care!

2x? When did the Pro cost $599? Or even $499 with BF deals? You're getting over 2x the power for $100 more than the Slim. Damon good deal if you ask me.

Sony proved right again. And so was I.

4k blu ray is super niche, and while in a few years will be slightly less niche it will never take off.

4k blu ray players are expensive and would mean Sony would have to leave an extra $20/30 on the cost of the Pro or take a loss. Same with the slim. And that extra cost will dramatically effect sales on black friday where they were able to undercut the xbox. Great financial decision for Sony and great financial decision for the consumer. The sales speak for themselves.

If in 3/4 years the UHD player costs practically the same as regular blu ray then I can see Sony putting one in the ps5.

Exactly. I think as prices come down, Sony is most likely going to be putting a UHD player in their PS5. Probably going to need it for the extra disc space.
