Sadly, I think the WiiU will be my last Nintendo console. Smartphones have simply become too powerful, and it seems like Nintendo is content to be vastly outpaced by Sony and Nintendo in console gaming ($250 in 2017 does not bode well for prospective specifications). It also doesn't help that they effectively abandoned the WiiU mid-cycle. My hope is that someone competent buys Nintendo or they transition to software, so I can play true next-gen versions of Mario and Zelda.
