Sorry to hear that.  Now's really the time to wait, because in just a few months, there's going to be the i7 7700k, and GTX 1080TI, etc.

The latest leaks say that the new Intel chips will only be 5-10% faster than the current ones. If that's true, he's not losing much.

And the 1080Ti will be expensive as hell, much more than the 1070 he ordered. And there's no reason to believe that it will make prices of the other cards go down either.
