Top tier waifu, I have like 20 screenshots and pictures of her already. Too bad Prompto keeps taking shots of her in the car where she has he worst facial animations.

14 hours into the game, the plot at the starts feels like an excuse to go on a journey and Noctis role as the prince and geopolitics are underexploited. On 2016's storytelling standards and current fashion in japanese pop culture, the people suffering should be shown more too. I would say it's necessary to watch the movie before playing the game, and the movie's themes are completely ignored so far in the game. The plot is also way too mysterious, if they are going for big plot twists the story should make sense at first.
These are the only reasons to me for the game to have less than a 95 meta. I wonder how harsh the critics will be about this.

I can't make from this if you're enjoying the plot despite these flaws so far or you're just pushing yourself through out of inertia.

I'm enjoying the plot a whole lot, but I'm unable to not see its flaws.

So far it's not a great plot. It's a good plot told in a groundbreaking way, making it a great story. There are mini cutscenes everywhere and quick interactions between the characters all the time, PNJs are given life trough great animations and features like free time cutscenes when you go to sleep (there are a lot of different ones in hotels) and prompto's pictures (including selfies, noctis and gladio taking stupid poses etc) make it seem more real than ever. This is by far the best way to tell a linear story that I've ever seen (there is even the quick dialogue tree Telltales-like!). I am enjoy it like I've never enjoyed a JRPG story before. But the plot is flawed. Also Tabata turning Stella into Luna ruined her (at least in the movie), by turning her into a (mentally) weak version of Yuna (So far she might be the most unidimentional character in a final fantasy main game since FFIV)
