Being president is not an easy job, nor is it "fun" or glamourous on a daily basis. Sure there are state dinners and photo ops, but this is nothing special to Trump, he already has things like this in his life. He is incredibly thin skinned, he is going to have problems I think going through periods where he is unliked by both sides of the aisle, all presidents have to go through that. 

Though i will agree that his temprament can be called in to question from time to time, i have no doubt he wants this....... when you compare how many rallies Trump did compared to Hillary, the difference is night and day, he was like a trojan horse on the campaign trail, sometimes 3 or 4 rallys a day, 6 days a week.i think he wants this, but for those who don't think so, thats fair enough.

He likes the rallies. He likes being on a stage and having people cheer for him, it's the ultimate narcissist boner. 

Being president isn't about that though. That's the easy part. Campaigning is the easy part, governing is much, much more difficult.
